Digital Marketing Is More Important Now Than Ever

Half a dozen years ago I read a study suggesting that, by 2025, Fortune 500 companies would be spending 80% of their marketing budget on digital marketing and only 20% on traditional marketing. Traditional marketing encompasses things like television and newspaper ads, event sponsorships, and billboards — historically trusted places to invest marketing dollars. Many at the time laughed at imagining businesses pulling away from these so heavily to spend in things like websites, online ads, and search engine ranking.

2020 has been full of uncertainties. The one thing that has been constant since mid-March is how much we’ve shifted even more so to digital. Between March 1 and March 17, home internet use in the United States increased by 18% — in less than three weeks. By late March, over 80% of consumers said they either already had begun consuming more online content or expected to in the coming weeks.

During times of uncertainty, many companies look to cut marketing budgets. History shows that’s not a smart move. In fact, companies that recover best coming out of hard times invested in modernizing their marketing plans and engaging their customers in new ways.

Digital Marketing is Here to Stay

American’s habits have changed and most experts agree that we won’t go back to the way things were even once we’re past the pandemic. Consumers have become more reliant on online shopping versus brick-and-mortar stores. Businesses are doing more vendor research online versus the ubiquitous lunch meetings of old. People are staying home and working from home more than ever before — changing how they consume media.

Is Your Marketing Budget Up-to-date?

We get asked frequently, “how much money does our business need to allocate toward marketing?” The answer is: it depends. Are you trying to grow 5% a year or 15% a year — or even 50%? Is your customer base one-and-done or do you have a recurring revenue model?

While these questions are important, it is also important to ask how your marketing budget should be spent. Most surveys indicate that corporate marketing budgets have approached and are now exceeding 50% going toward digital marketing — deploying these resources toward web design, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), online ads, social media ads and more.

A Trusted Partner is Key

Having a great website isn’t enough for most businesses to succeed in digital marketing – but it’s a great first step. To navigate the constant evolution of marketing, it is critical for businesses to have a trusted partner to help chart their marketing path forward. Often for less than the cost of a full-time marketing professional, small businesses can begin a relationship with a firm that brings decades of combined digital marketing experience to craft a strategy for your business. That trusted partner can tell you where to invest in marketing and, most importantly, where not to waste valuable time and resource.

The world has changed. People’s behaviors have changed. Is your company adapting? Is your digital marketing strategy positioning you for success? Is your marketing budget aligning with today’s trends and data? Do you have a digital marketing partner to help you navigate the fast- changing marketing landscape?

If you want to be successful on the other side of this uncertain time, these are the questions you should be asking. Digital Marketing is here to stay. Those who invest in it wisely will be the companies that thrive.

S3 Web App

An improved, AI driven, project management platform.

Andreea (CTO) and Maxime (CEO) came up with the idea of an online platform to help every project manager achieve best results in the most efficient way possible.

Integrating the AI programmatically went to their side, but it couldn’t be coded until they had the right user interface and user experience aligned to the user’s needs.

We started by discovering the pain points in what they had already coded and we planned for a hollistic approach.

We got insights from their competitors and planned an architecture for a good user experience.

End of the day, the goal of the platform is to get a clear overview of projects and see what is on track and prioritise what goes over the deadline.

The goal is to manage deadlines and keep everyone and everything in the loop. Also the looks is what gets people to keep using the app. Also the ease of use and anticipation of actions. Got grids?

It’s responsive

Different Cut

Fashion? Designer clothing? Outlaw? You are Different!

Our great workmates at DifferentCut have trusted us to rebrand and uplift their business to another level.

Long story short, they were going for an ecommerce website for their different cut clothes, pun intended, and a way to get rid of the past logo after 5 years of activity from the market’s memory.

Adding to one’s retina a bright passionate pure red was the first bold decision they had to accept from us.

Make it evident, make it clear, make it different. Handmade clothing has a different feel, so is the keyvisual.

After one year since the ecommerce website launch, Different Cut managed over 1.100 custom products sold and a conversion rate above Romania fashion market’s average (1.3%) with extra 0.3% due to well done webdesign and trusted branding. Our data shows an excelent bounce rate of 42% and one delighted client.

Water, wind, hail, no problem for these roofs!

We had the pleasure of meeting a lot of great people while creating the website redesign and 3D graphics for Wetterbest.

Having Freecom as the marketing company and Supreme as developers, through our powers combined and the final goal of Wetterbest team, we created the Wetterbest House® web app and some neat animations for their roof models.

Everything added to the final experience that was: choosing and contacting Wetterbest as the goto company for one’s house and industrial roof tops.

Wetterbest, one of the leading companies of rooftops solutions in Romania, needed a redesign for their website with new goals in mind.

Hierarchy is a universal language.
On top of visual design, the people we worked with and website analytics, say we did an excellent job. Conversion went through the roof, pun intended.

Victory Cup

Mini football is the new football!

Even the best competition of indoor mini football in Romania, can be improved.

By working closely with Dragos Buzatu, the managing partner of Victory Cup and Supreme for web development, we revamped their glorious platform that needs to accomodate over 1000 player profiles and weekly match standings for Victory Cup’s 9th edition. So basically we redesigned and build everything from the ground, minus the logo.

Logo design for mini football Leagues and Cup setting the path for a sporty branding.

Ryder Logistics

Anywhere, anytime, anything.

Our friends from Ryder Logistics wanted a new image for their brand such as customers and employees could empathize and relate better with their international and local transportation services.

We enforced the idea of road transportation and appealed to the heavy thought of the customer in need of shortcuts for their product’s trip.

So we used images of roads with a dreamy and fresh feeling and added the brand’s light blue color on illustrations, that feels very friendly and joyful, just to sweeten the burden of long, endless roads. Thank you Voicu Oara for your collaboration on great photography!

After creating a useful client on-boarding flow, we got great feedback from the industry with a proven user retention and around 4% conversion rate, that’s higher than expected.
